Here is the soft copy of the Operon Assesment. You may use any resources from class (readings, worksheets, handouts, the textbook, powerpoints, etc). IT IS DUE ON MONDAY, and it is worth a quiz grade.
Attached is the homework for tonight. I like to print two sided, but this exists as two separate PDFs. YOU NEED TO DO BOTH (prokaryotes and eukaryotes are different, obvs.)
Navigate to this website: http://www.hhmi.org/biointeractive/regulation-lactase-gene I've also attached a soft copy of the classwork if you'd prefer. Additionally, I am attaching the transcript of the video if, for whatever reason, you can't watch it but can read the words. This is the link to the website to watch for homework. http://www.hhmi.org/biointeractive/making-fittest-got-lactase-co-evolution-genes-and-culture
Please use the attached key to check your HW from the break (it will be collected in class on Wed.) I have also attached a soft copy of the reading for this week. YOU DO NOT NEED TO KNOW THE VIRUS STUFF. The first half is review, the second half is new. Pay special attention to the gene expression/gene regulation parts.
Here is a soft copy of the break HW. The last pages (about chi-square analysis) are EXTRA CREDIT. The rest of it is due the first day back from break. SEE YOU IN CAMBRIDGE BRIGHT AND EARLY TOMORROW!!
Here is the reading that was handed out in class. Please look over it before tomorrow's test, but only the things we discussed in class will be on THIS test (before break). Chi Square analysis will come up in your break HW.
The classwork exists as multiple PDFs--please email me at my bostonprep.org address if you need another copy. I am attaching the HW that is due WEDNESDAY!!!
I can't post it because the file is larger than 10 mb, but here is the link! http://www.radiolab.org/story/251885-you-are-what-your-grandpa-eats/
The PDFs I'm attaching are ones that we used originally when learning macro molecules. They are another resource for you to study. I am attaching both the worksheets from today and also the keys. Please use them for good not evil to check your work. Additionally, I am posting the question from the FRQ to help you re-write your answer.
